Experience

I am currently a teacher at Studytree, teaching foundation year students the course Mathematics for Science to prepare them for their undergraduate studies. I have previously worked as a teaching assistant for the second year undergraduate course Statistical Physics at the University of Groningen. This involved preparing problem sets twice per week, helping students during tutorials, and exam grading. Having completed my degree in Physics (BSc), I have gained a good understanding of the main topics in mathematics and physics, and am confident in being able to explain them to students. My motivation to become a tutor is mainly because I enjoy teaching, and explaining difficult concepts clearly. I remember how important a good teacher was to my success and I would like to be able to do the same for students who need a little extra help to excel in a subject they find difficult. Furthermore, I would like to improve my teaching skills and experience, and allow me to complete my Masters degree in Physics.
